140 Sun, Sep 9, 12 U10 DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM Competency Based Long Term Player Development U-10 age group
EIYSA supports the Canadian Soccer Associations "Long Term Player Development" platform.
Recognizing this, EIYSA has developed a Competency Based Long Term Player Development model, for the U-10 age group. This model progressively graduates players through the stages of technical development.
Review the EIYSA plan by clicking on "Competency Based Long Term Player Development". These documents will explain the model, how it works, and results which may be attained through the application of the model.
The second step is to click on "EIYSA Home". This will take you to our Blog where you can navigate through the Competencies. You will see that you can open up the various competencies (they become highlighted when your mouse touches the category). Upon opening a competency a video is actioned, demonstrating the competency. These videos were prepared using EIYSA players.
There are 48 growth opportunities involved in the EIYSA Competency Based Long Term Player Development model. The curriculum is based on a 16 week process, leading players toward achieving the competencies.
