EIYSA ANNOUNCES 2008-09 INDOOR PROGRAMS

The following programs will be offered through EIYSA for the 2008-09 Indoor Season:

U-12 Program

The U-12 program, Tier I and Tier II levels, will play Indoor Soccer. The games will be played in the Indoor Centres.  The program is based on a 14 game schedule, commencing November 1/08 and concluding in March 2009. Team rosters will be maximum of 16, dressing a maximum of 16 for each game. Games will be 2X25 minute halves. 6 players (including the goal keeper) per team may be on the court at any one time. Teams will generally play 1 game per week. Indoor Centres utilized will be, Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St Albert and Red Deer. Initial team declarations is September 15/08.
Teams, at conclusion of the Indoor league, will be offered the opportunity to participate in a condensed 7V7 program (March and April) to be played at Victoria Soccer Club facility (Indoor turf field)

U-14 to U-18 Programs

U-14, U-16, U-18, programs, Tier I and Tier II levels, will play 7V7.  The games will be played at Victoria Soccer Club facility on large indoor turf field, and Red Deer (Westerner). Outdoor rules will basically apply. The program, for each level, is based on a 14 game schedule, commencing approximately October 4/08 and concluding in March 2009.  Team rosters will be maximum of 20, dressing a maximum of 18 for each game. Games will be 2X30 minute halves. Teams allowed to participate must be age specific, i.e. an U-12 team cannot apply to participate in U-14 7V7. Teams may not necessarily have 1 game per week.  The number of teams declared will determine the regularity of games. There is no post season play in 7V7. Initial team declarations is September 2/08.
The 7V7 program is under the auspices of ASA, administered by EIYSA

There will be no Futsal programs offered this Indoor season, by EIYSA
